November 2014 and a family trip back home to South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. This was the first photograph I made where I felt that I had got to grips with ND/Grad filters and the whole photography shebang. I knew I wanted contrast in the foreground textures of moving water and sand patterns. I thought carefully about the composition. It was taken specifically to be converted into a black and white image. Progress!
